Theresa Hess '07 arrived at McDaniel with the lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian and playing basketball. She helped her team win two conference championships, gained acceptance into one of the most selection programs in the nation, the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated with a doctor of veterinary medicine in June 2011.

Very few students are so certain about what they want to do when they arrive on campus—and that's okay. McDaniel excels at helping students plan for the future and offers guidance at every stage throughout their four years on campus. This help begins before the first class—at new student orientation—and continues with faculty advising, peer mentoring, internships and focused career counseling.
