Founded in 1850, Hiram College is a private, liberal arts college providing students with a home away from home.

Hiram is 45 minutes away from Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown, Ohio.

100 percent of students participate in high-impact, experiential activities.

You aren’t just a face in the crowd at Hiram. We have a 10:1 student-professor ratio, with a tight-knit community that’s focused on getting you to your goal.

10:1 student-professor ratio.

The Hiram Plan (also called the 12-3 plan), our unique semester structure, is designed to give you the opportunity to gain valuable, intensive, real-world experiences. During the first 12 weeks of the semester, you’ll take a full course load of three or four classes. For the final three weeks, you’ll focus on a single, intensive course – in the classroom, the field, or abroad.

Our campus actively addresses sustainability, diversity, and inclusion in a variety of ways: the TREE House, reducing waste through composting, promoting reusable packaging, using renewable energy with several solar panel arrays, promoting knowledge of cultural and ethnic diversity through the Office of Division and Inclusion, and providing support services to enhance the success of historically underrepresented minority students.
