Goucher College is a selective, private, all-gender, liberal arts college dedicated to providing a multidisciplinary, international education. Our emphasis is on experiential learning, including innovative internship experiences and our 100% study abroad policy.

Located in the college town of Towson, Maryland, Goucher is just 10 miles north of downtown, guaranteeing our students plenty of opportunities for fun outside the classroom. Despite its urban
environment, Goucher is a green oasis, surrounded by 287 wooded acres, streams, and walking trails.

84% of students live on campus, which boasts clubs like Beekeeping and Ultimate Frisbee, exhibits that celebrate art and history, and events like Humans vs. Zombies, which was founded at Goucher.

100% Study Abroad
At Goucher College, we believe that no matter who you are or what you want to do in life, the global community of the 21st century demands that you have an international perspective. That’s why every Goucher student studies abroad with no tuition surcharges. We offer more than 100 study abroad opportunities in a variety of formats to ensure studying abroad is accessible to all Goucher students.

Learn Anywhere
Our innovative internship accelerator ensures Goucher students have access to in-person job experience starting their first year.

A Global Education
Goucher students come together from all over the world. Our current student body includes students from 51 countries and six continents. Goucher created new first-year housing, called the First-Year Village (FYV), in 2018. The spaces are designed for interaction, with prominent communal areas for students to come together to cook, share, and learn with sunlit lounges, soundproof study rooms, and a full kitchen on each floor. The three buildings encircle a tree-lined quad, whose amphitheater
seating, firepit, and hammocks, provide plenty of opportunities to be outside with friends. Workout classes, such as kickboxing, Zumba, barre, and many others, take place in the FYV and the adjacent Decker Sports Center. There are so many ways to find community at Goucher, be that through our League of Legends team or the Goucher Adventure Club, which organizes hiking, camping, and climbing trips.

The Goucher Commons Curriculum
Goucher expects all students to pursue a common set of learning experiences while giving them the freedom to determine and follow their own interests. In this pursuit, students enter a space of inquiry and problem solving with their peers, whose varied experiences and perspectives help to create unique solutions. Ultimately, students will gain an integrative learning experience and develop proficiency in areas that will make them ready for the jobs of the future.Goucher expects all students to pursue a common set of learning experiences while giving them the freedom to determine and follow their own interests.
