• 100% of students are guaranteed an internship, research project, international experience, or another applied learning experience.
• Austin College is home to 14 different NCAA Division III athletic teams, plus competitive Cheer and E-Sports. The water polo team is the only collegiate team in Texas competing at the NCAA level. Last year, 152 student-athletes earned all-conference academic honors.
• Students only take one class in January each year. This three-week January term takes place on and off campus, and gives each student a chance to delve into an interest that they often have not yet had the chance to explore. This includes travel JanTerms where students are able to immerse themselves in the culture of a class in over 99 countries; recent trips include England, Spain, and France.

• Bachelor of Science degrees are now offered in several scientific fields of study. The previous Bachelor of Art degree programs met the same federal requirements, but this adjustment gives graduates an advantage in new AI-centered resumé sorting technology.

• Students can conduct original research as early as their first year. The College hosts an annual scholarship conference each spring, and students often present their original work at conferences across the U.S. These are only a few examples of the many out-of-classroom applied learning opportunities at Austin College. The most recent additions include travel experiences to the United Nations Climate Conference, where students take an active observational role in climate action, and the Asia-Pacific Scholars Program, where students travel to multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region for an immersive learning experience.

• Students can find their people with 70+ clubs and organizations, including eight
  music ensembles, a robust theatre and improv troupe, and award-winning Mock
  Trial and Model UN teams.
• 85% of students live on campus all four years, with residence halls, apartments, a village of four-room cottages, and a Language House for immersive foreign language and cultural study.
• Each summer, dozens of students from many areas of study participate in the
  Social Entrepreneurship for Poverty Alleviation (SEPA) program. SEPA partners each student with a local nonprofit, and the student writes grants for that nonprofit for the duration of the summer. Students have earned over 1 million dollars in grant funding for local nonprofits.
