The Colleges That Change Lives Board of Directors has been reading the announcements made by both Marlboro and Emerson Colleges regarding the pending merger between the two institutions and the creation of the Marlboro Institute of Liberal Arts at Emerson College.
After communicating with enrollment leaders at Marlboro regarding the details of the merger, including confirmation of the time frame in which the merger is to take place, the Board will have more in-depth conversations about what this means for Marlboro’s membership in Colleges That Change Lives.
These are challenging times in higher education, especially for small, liberal arts colleges who must continually find sustainable methods in which to grow, thrive, and educate students. The CTCL Board and leaders of our 45-member institutions firmly believe in the value of the transformative education offered at CTCL-member schools—one that develops graduates who will take us into the future with thoughtful, careful leadership.
Please contact us if you have more questions. The Board offers our support to the entire Marlboro community during this time of transition and wishes them great success in achieving a smooth transition.
