CTCL Membership Expanded

In a historic first, Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) has extended membership to two new colleges. The new member institutions are DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and Oberlin College and Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio.

For nearly twenty years, CTCL’s membership has consisted of colleges included in Loren Pope’s groundbreaking guide to college admissions, Colleges That Change Lives. This announcement marks the first time the organization has expanded membership to colleges not previously included in an edition of the book.

Counselors Change Lives

As the 2024-25 school year commences, CTCL honors all high school counselors for the work they do: helping students feel supported, connecting them with resources, and preparing them for the future.

Dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process, CTCL gives a special shout-out to the college counselors whose dedication to the profession reflects the CTCL ideal: to help students frame their search to find a college or university that cultivates a lifelong love of learning and provides the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life beyond their degree.
