New College of Florida Students receive Gilman Scholarship to help fund study abroad 

Two New College of Florida students have been recognized by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs with the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. One plans to study sustainable development and social justice in rural northeast Brazil and the other will study mathematics, biology and chemistry in Norway. Since 2008, New College has had 14 Gilman Scholars.
