2018 CTCL Scholarship Application

The Colleges That Change Lives Scholarship was established in 2016 to honor the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first edition of Loren Pope’s classic book and the 10th anniversary of the non-profit organization, Colleges That Change Lives.

Since first appearing in 1996, four versions of Colleges That Change Lives have been published, each update offering valuable insights about the college search, as well as profiles of 40 small, residential, liberal arts schools that deliver a quality education to thousands of students each year. The non-profit College That Change Lives organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the book’s message, and this scholarship is yet another way to ensure that the CTCL experience becomes a reality for even more students.

In 2018, the CTCL Scholarship ($1,000 per year, renewable for up to four years with a maximum award of $4,000 per student) was awared to two new, first-year students who choose to attend a CTCL-member college or university.

The CTCL Board reviews the applications and selects the recipients. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the number of qualified applicants and the funds available at the time. All students will be notified about the scholarship results. Learn more about the most recent CTCL Scholarship winners.

The 2019 scholarship application will open in mid-January.
